Opensource websites for schools K-12

Schoolyard came to us to develop an opensource platform for deploying affordable school websites. Combining our Drupal development expertise, user-experience design and information architecture skills, we developed platform concepts, requirements, and design/deployed several drupal websites for Schoolyard's flagship clientele.

We consulted on Drupal's suite of modules, tools, and capabilities -- mapping opensource (free) functionalities, to the needs of independent schools. We helped develop marketing content, and designed/developed the first corporate marketing website for Schoolyard's exciting come back, powered by the Drupal CMS, of course. All of Schoolyard’s websites were built to meet accessibility and web standards in code including “responsive design” and HTML5/CSS3 features.

Various designs created by RDI including Schoolyard client list and design portfolio, St. Mary’s Academy, Hawaii Preparatory, Redwood Day, Nantucket New School, Soundview Preparatory Academy websites. 

Rubic collaborated closely with Schoolyard and client teams, through iterative sitemapping, wireframe prototyping, and design, that provided a foundation for interface and content creation. Schoolyard's easy-to-deploy/customize Drupal websites launched including features such as videos, blogs, and calendar tools, news releases and content feeds from third-party vendors.
